Anna Shahbazyan is originally from Armenia. She started Ballroom dancing at the age of 14. She moved to the US in 2000 where she pursued her career as a professional dancer while continuing her education at University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) majoring in psychology and later earning her Masters Degree.
Currently, she not only teaches dancing but also works with children with Autism and other developmental and learning disabilities. She was the recipient of the Community Service Award in 2016 by NDCA, for her contribution to the community as an ambassador of dance.
Anna was a Professional Rising Star Smooth US National and Ohio Star Ball vice champion, Rising Star International Ballroom US National Finalist and US National Open Professional Smooth semifinalist, as well as Blackpool Open Professional Smooth Finalist 2017.
