Timothy & Michele Mason
Originally from England, Michele started dancing at the age of 4 and Timothy at the age of 9. They both competed at Juvenile, Junior and Amateur levels before getting together in 1988 and deciding to compete professionally.
Timothy and Michele moved to the United States in 1990, joining one of New York City?s Fred Astaire Dance Studios. Over the next 10 years they won most of the North American Professional Standard Events. Their titles include;
Fred Astaire National Champions, Southeastern U.S. Champions, American Star Ball Champions, Holiday Ball Champions, Heritage Dancesport, Ohio Star Ball Champions, Yankee Classic, North American Champions Southwestern Champions, Houston Lonestar Champions Florida State Champions, Heart of America Champions Imperial Champions, Twin Cities Champions Virginia State Champions, Walt Disney Classic Champions Southern States Champions, New England Champions Empire States Champions, Texas Challenge Champions
They have appeared on television on numerous occasions and were excited to win the Standard Section on PBS? Championship Ballroom Dancing in 1997.
On a world level, Timothy and Michele have represented the U.S. at all major competitions, including the British International and United Kingdom Championships. They have been U.S. Team Members at the British Team Match and were finalists on several occasions in the Open British Rising Star Championships and 1st runner-up at the International Rising Star Championships as well as reaching the semi-finals at the Open International at the Royal Albert Hall in London, England.
At the 1999 Ohio Star Ball, Timothy and Michele retired from competition.
They are now active as coaches and have judged some of the countries most prestigious competitions, including the U.S.B.C, the Yankee Classic and the Southwestern.
In 2001, Timothy and Michele opened the Easidance Ballroom in Tampa, where their goal is to bring quality to all who walk through their doors.
