Dance Vision’s mission is to help millions of people discover the power of partner dancing. Our teaching and technology provide a step-by-step framework for online learning that enables expression, exploration, and accomplishment…so millions of people can feel limitless in their lives with ballroom dancing.

The Challenge:

After 30 years of leading the ballroom dance industry in at-home education, we’re in need of rebuilding our digital product to provide better dance experiences and influence more lives. The Product Designer will be responsible for establishing our product culture, owning the design process, and designing product features.

About the Role:

The Product Designer will collaborate with the Product Manager & Engineering Lead to help define the roadmap and support with all aspects of product design.

  • Codifying the visual language, design principles, and design system for Dance Vision products

  • Information architecture and product conceptualization

  • Design end to end experiences for our online platform, utilizing our product design standards

  • Work with others (Engineers, PM) to spec out and iterate on features and improvements to Dance Vision

  • Work with the Product team to proactively identify proposals towards Dance Vision’s major product objectives, e.g. making Dance Vision a more enjoyable and intuitive tool to use, improving in-product user onboarding, increasing user conversion rates, etc.

  • Run UX research as needed to validate ideas and designs while helping with other UX research as needs arises

About You:

  • You have prior UX/UI design experience and a strong portfolio of work that has been rolled out to users – for this position, we are looking for someone with 2-5+ years of experience

  • Prior experience with design of a SaaS product is a plus

  • Is passionate about user experience and empowering users to learn dance faster

  • Has strong attention to details (to the pixel)

  • Is very organized when building complex sites/web apps

  • Experience with Ballroom Dancing is a plus, but not required
