Join us for a totally unique, two-week residency workshop to launch your career to the next level! This is an extraordinary opportunity to study with world-renowned "teacher of teachers", Diane Jarmolow, who wrote the book on DVIDA certification and preparation. Developed over 20 years' experience training dance instructors, this condensed course will present a solid system for understanding everything you need to know to pass the DVIDA Professional American Style Junior Associate Exam. The two-week residency experience guarantees full immersion, focus and achievement. It will cover the elements, theory, dancing, teaching methodology, and how to present them in an exam. This is a fantastic opportunity for teachers and aspiring professionals to build expertise, credentials, and distinguish themselves in the ballroom dance industry.
Includes:
70 hours of instruction (35 per week)
Monday through Friday, 9 am - 1 pm, 2 pm - 5 pm.
Shuttle from hotel to BDTC studio Monday-Friday.
Who: For highly committed, focused, aspiring or existing professionals who want to become certified. Enrollment is limited to 12 students to guarantee a high quality experience.
Prerequisite: Ability to dance Leader's and Follower's parts of DVIDA American Style Bronze Figures 1-7 in Rumba, Cha Cha, East Coast Swing, Foxtrot, Waltz and Tango.
Location: The peaceful, scenic BDTC Studio in the Oakland hills of California.

13 nights' Accommodation: BDTC has reserved a number of single and double rooms at the Four Point Sheraton in Emeryville, CA (from Sun, July 29 ? Sat., Aug 11, 2007) at a discounted rate which includes breakfast. Please call the hotel directly at 800-325-3535 or 510-547-7888 to book your accommodation. Be sure to mention the "BDTC Group" and specify which dates you would like to stay in order to secure the group discount. Reservations must be made no later than June 29, 2007 however, it is advised to book as early as possible.
Dinner: Hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, movies and mall.
Optional After-hours Practice: Allegro Ballroom is across the street from the hotel, for students interested in additional practice.

Optional Materials: Diane?s new Dance Vision ?Get Certified" DVD and Guidebook;
Bronze DVIDA Syllabus DVDs/VHS tapes in Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Rumba, Cha Cha, and East Coast Swing.
Examinations: Available at the end of the workshop, by appointment.
