George Garcia has been a dance instructor/performer/choreographer for over 25 years. He has given Argentine Tango it's foundation in Hawaii. He offers weekly classes, workshops and coaching to an ever increasing tango community and has a solid following of tango students across the United States.
George's style of tango combines elegance and grace with subtle intensity. His training came from the best Argentine Tango performer/teachers in the world. His teaching technique is based on a clear understanding of the roles of the leader and follower and their exchange of energy and balance.
He has taught and perfomed with the world renowned tanguera Christy Coté at the Portland October Tango Fest, Tango at Sea, Las Vegas Tango and numerous shows, performances and workshops in the San Francisco Bay Area.
In Hawaii, he teaches and performs with partner K'ai Roberts. They have one of the fastest growing tango communities in the world with weekly milongas and periodic workshops with some of the most noted tango instructors from Argentina.
George is a DVIDA National Examiner in Argentine Tango.
